Corsica "L'île de beauté"

Corsica’s french nickname "the Island of beauty" summarizes everything: Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica's seascapes and landscapes are unique in the world with an astounding geographical diversity: azure blue sea, chain of mountains, lovely and secluded beaches, dense green forests, deep gorges with crystal clear rivers, picturesque hilltop villages and small historical towns.

Corsica belongs to France but enjoys and maintains some degree of administrative autonomy. In particular Corsica preserves its natural and historical heritage and offers many authentic sceneries for both amateur and professional photographers.

"Pont Genoise d'Asco", This beautiful bridge dates from the 15th century and was constructed during the Genoese occupation. It is located at a place called Lamella at an altitude of 535m, below the village.

Excellent hiking opportunities from the "Refuge Ascu Stagno" to the Monte Cinto, with an altitude of 2.706 m, the highest elevation in Corsica.

With some luck you can see the European mufflon (ovis orientalis musimon) or some other wildlife of Corsica
