Twilight, for me, is more than a simple transition between day and night. It is a canvas of serene beauty that invites for pause and reflection. In this gentle light, I breathe deeply and appreciate the world around me.
The sky, awash in soft purples and oranges, marks the day’s surrender to night or the night’s quiet embrace of morning. Silhouettes replace textures and patterns, while a subtle haze deepens the mystical atmosphere.
In these moments, the world is bathed in golden light, radiating peace and stillness. Capturing this scenery feels like being transported to a realm of quiet contemplation—a time to reflect and connect with the essence of the moment.

The three photographs above capture twilight from three extraordinary places— Corsica in France, Corcovado in Costa Rica, and Sossusvlei in Namibia—all among my favourite travel destinations. In the gentle embrace of dawn's first light or the sun's final glow, the haze bathes the landscapes in golden and purple hues, as hills and mountains fade gracefully into the horizon. These already tranquil places become even quieter, with only the sounds of nature filling the air—yet the animals remain unseen. But I let the images speak for themselves.

For me, capturing silhouettes during twilight is creating compositions that are both dramatic and serene, finding harmony in the stark contrasts of nature's quietest moments. The outlines of rocks, trees, mountains, and figures emerge as dark, striking shapes against the glowing sky. These silhouettes strip away details, leaving behind the essence of form and inviting the imagination to fill in the rest. In this simplicity, there is a unique beauty—an interplay of mystery and clarity.

During twilight, urban landscapes transform into striking contrasts. Skyscrapers and rooftops in New York, and church steeples become silhouettes against the glowing sky, while streetlights and windows begin to sparkle. In towns and villages, the scene is quieter but no less enchanting, with warm lights dotting narrow streets and casting soft reflections.
This fleeting moment blurs the line between day and night, softening the edges of buildings and blending human activity with the serenity of dusk. Capturing twilight in cities, towns, or villages reveals a harmony between light and shadow, where modernity meets timeless beauty.
